It turns on once a motion sensor outdoor wall light detects movement. If you have an area where you do not need light all the time, a motion sensor light may be the right choice. Testing the sensor is an important part of the installation so that the light turns on and off at the right time. You do not want your light to turn on every time a bird flies by, but you also do not want the light to stay off when someone approaches your house.
Look at the bottom of the light movement sensor for a switch and a “Sensory adjustment dial”. Turn the dial to medium and move the switch to the “Test” position. Flip on the wall switch for the light movement sensor sends power to the lamp. Look for the lights come on for about 30 seconds, then turn off if there is no movement detected by the sensor. AIM the sensor in the direction you want to detect the movement.
Walk through the detection zone in the areas where you want the light of the movement to respond. Adjust the sensory control as necessary to achieve the desired coverage. If you want the light to respond to movement over longer distances, turn the dial to high. If you want the light to respond to movement at shorter distances, turn downward. Place the “test” switch to the normal operating mode so that the light will perform properly during the night.
